If you purchase the bag only, the best places to look for a wine shipper box are offsite wine storage facilities, since they receive so many shipper boxes for their clients. Be sure to call ahead first. Also, local chain liquor and wine stores will sell shipper boxes in the back of the store. Also, larger wine shops often have shipper boxes that they are happy to unload for free or a small price.
According to the manufacturer, the Wine Check fits nearly ALL wine shipper boxes and inserts (they've yet to find one that doesn't fit). The preferred, and most common, shipper box size is 18.5 x 14 x 16 inches.
While nearly all of the lay-down, pulp wine shippers will fit in The Wine Check, some airlines REQUIRE Styrofoam.

Great concept, needs updated engineering
Note-haven't used it to fly with yet. Anything changes post upcoming Sonoma trip, will update.
With the large number of boxes, I had at hand, from various venues, my least favorite box was the only one that would fit (wine.com). I *much* prefer the case boxes with pressed form paper inserts from vivino/last bottle but could not fit this bag over any other boxes. Would highly recommend the vendor research current box sizes for better fit on wider range.
3-star rationale: doesn't fit variety of boxes, but description states it will (used vendor specs before ordering, my favorite box meets specs, but didn't fit bag). Substandard wheels & needs better handle engineering.

Fantastic way to transport wine!
This is a great bag, I am really happy that I purchased. Easily survived several airline trips / transfers with wine and bag in perfect condition. Typically I just ship wine back when I travel, but that can be a hassle and I wanted a better option to transport wine and this is it.

This product is a Godsend!
After struggling home from CA Wine Country with 2 wine shippers held together with packing tape and handles made out of duct tape, I knew there had to be a better way to fly with wine. Product is exactly as described. One of our cardboard shipper boxes fits perfectly. Can't wait to try it out on next trip to Wine Country.

Great product!
This wine case carrier worked perfectly on a recent flight. Relatively easy to maneuver. Used a styrofoam insert and box from winery. For return flight I tied a cord around the empty case to flatten as much as possible and stuck it in the overhead bin. Great way to bring wine to share at family events and vacations when flying.

Got the job done
Checked our wine from Burgundy on a direct flight, and it arrived safely and soundly and came in at 48 pounds with 12 standard bottles. you'd probably be overweight if you had a magnum in there. Anyway, this is a far superior option to checking a box and attempting to lug that around. the handle and the wheels make traveling with the wine so much easier. Docking one star for the pulling handle- it could be a little longer and potentially attached on the sides for easier maneuvering.
You cannot rush with this thing. you basically have to pull it by your side, and low to the ground. Perhaps because it was quite heavy for me fully loaded, but just keep in mind that if you're trying to run around a train station you might find this bag difficult to maneuver. but it was perfect at the price point for what we needed. Would definitely recommend.
