Menu Wine Breather Decanter #7697

After my first try I realized its not as easy as the picture looked that’s why I only gave it 4 stars. I’m sure over time I’ll get better. Like others have mentioned I’m not willing to walk away has the wine pours particularly on the second pour.

I bought one of these while visiting Napa. I decided I wanted a second and bought a less expensive one with a stand, which failed after a piece of glass popped out of the side. This one is identical to my first purchase, it appears more robust and perhaps justifiably slightly more expensive than others. I don’t have the confidence to walk away and leave it decanting, unattended. I do think it improves the wine significantly and I love them both and would recommend them.

not as sturdy as i expected it to be. once i got it aligned and not leaking, it worked well. Unique.

Love this Decanter. Works great for parties so you can keep wine in bottle so guests know the vineyard. Would recommend

This decanter is perfect for parties when I am serving more bottles of wine than I have decanters. I can aerate the wine with this and then put it back into the original bottle. I cannot give it five stars because of the waviness in the glass around the neck. At this price point, I do not expect imperfections in the glass even though it does not affect the performance of the decanter. It does work well and as advertised in quickly opening up a bottle of wine.

I really wanted to like this decanter, but the laws of physics got in the way. After using the decanter with a few bottles over a few weeks, I was draining the wine back into a bottle, when about 3/4 of the way through the bubbling/aerating action was enough to ever so slightly tip the decanter to one side and I watched helplessly from across the kitchen as the decanter and bottle tipped over and shattered against the granite countertop and wine splashed everywhere. I must admit when I first got the decanter I was worried about how top-heavy it was when pouring the wine back into the bottle. I double checked the instructions and nowhere does it say to hold the decanter/bottle during the aeration process. Plus that would be terribly inconvenient since it does take some time to fully drain. I'm not sure why after almost 3/4 of the wine draining back into the bottle it would tip over, but it did. As always, I made sure the decanter was well seated and level before letting go.

Love the decanter. Very easy to do a double decant before having wine. Really makes a difference in the taste.

Works like a charm, I was worried about leakage but there was none. Much easier way to decant and aerate all in one.

Bought this for our daughter’s birthday. Amazed at how well this works and how easy it is to use.

We have two of these decanters and they're awesome. First, it's pretty unique and gets a lot of attention which helps people ask a lot of questions about why oxygen is bad for wine in the beginning, but good for wine when you open the bottle. Second, when decanting an older red, I'll pour from the bottle into the decanter to not stir up any grit or sludge and then, once I rinse the bottle out, decant back into the bottle. I'll then put a decorative aerator into the bottle because I much prefer to pour from a bottle than from a decanter.

Loved this! Bought as a gift but plan to buy another for myself.

Saw it used at a party and wondered about it. Tried at a party and works terrific. Don’t have to have multiple decanters out and try to keep track of which wine is in which bottle

The wine breather/decanter is a gift, & reading one of the reviews, I am glad I purchased it. I know the recipient of said gift will really enjoy it.

I just got this so I've only used it a couple of times, but it works as advertised. I like to bring my own wine to restaurants, so the ability to decant it before I get to the restaurant is priceless. The double decanting and getting it back in the original bottle works great, and I do it whether we are drinking at home or going out. Definitely a good purchase and priced right.

Love that I can aerate an entire bottle st one time and even put it back in the bottle to save.

This decanter is great. We like to decant wine to take to friends house's and restaurants. This make it a breeze to decant and then rebottle.

I own no less than a dozen decanters of various shapes and sizes. This one is the best invention ever when it comes to quick aeration!

I'm sold now on double decanting. This set up is easy, and surprisingly does not create a mess. I really like being able to pour out of the original bottle. The aeration brings out the flavor in the wine. I recommend finishing the bottle once this is done, they don't last long re-corked.

I love the way you can put the bottle into the decanter and just walk away. Great decanter!

I own a wine bar and we double decant each big wine that we serve, whether it be at a wine event or at a table who orders a bottle of a big red wine. It makes for a great presentation, but also decants a bottle and then returns it to the bottle for an easier pour. Our customers appreciate the presentation as well as what a difference it makes in the taste of the wines. We in turn, sell a lot of the decanters.

The cool thing about this decanter is that it comes with a fitting that allows you to place an open, upside-down bottle on top of the decanter, and the wine will pour itself into the the decanter with a neat cascade effect. It's much more theatrical and dramatic than most decanters, great for dinners and parties.
