Good but not quite big enough

A 750ML bottle does fit in this decanter as the picture shows with the wine a little higher than the widest part of the decanter. Riedel has one slightly bigger one 70.5 ounces that I find is a better size as the wind comes just up to the widest part of the decanter.
A Decanter worthy of your best wines

There is no better way to enjoy that special wine than with a Riedel decanter. The wine is naturally aerated as it slides down the sides and a couple of rotations finishes the job. We let it sit for about 2 hours and then the wine is fully open and ready to drink. The decanter shape is an eye catcher. Guests will be amazed. Enjoy those cult Cabs, Barolos and Bordeaux in style.

I have not seen this decanter in person yet but the gift recipients are a young New York City power couple (sweet bride and groom to be) who order fine wines direct from around the world. They were so ecstatic about this gift that the thank you note they wrote is something I will treasure (the note arrived to me LESS THAN a week after I ordered from IWA). They can't wait to serve us a glass when they visit.
My friend, the groom's mom, just visited them and said this decanter is gorgeous atop the bar in their apartment and it reflects light so beautifully.
She also commented about my card.... they thought I sent the handwritten card. It was my words, but no, IWA wrote them out beautifully.

Very big, stable

This is great for magnums, or maybe for combining a couple of my favorite bottles. It is very stable when sitting. I have had past decanters that had a risk of tipping, not this one.
