Details

When a single beverage center isn't enough and a dedicated wine cellar is overkill for the bar or entertaining space, the Loft 400 Double fills the gap. Two matching units mounted side-by-side with center-opening doors, it fits naturally under a counter or stands on its own — the front-ducted design handles either installation without modification. The wide temperature range, 36°F to 68°F, means whites, sparkling, reds for short-term service and everything in between can all be kept ready at the right temperature.

Each compartment runs independently, with its own touch-key control pad and blue LCD display, so you can dial in different temperatures for wine on one side and cans or craft beers on the other. The rolling metal plate shelf on each side extends fully and accommodates both Bordeaux and Burgundy bottle shapes — not a given at this category and price point. Door locks on both sides are a practical detail if this unit lives in a space with staff or younger household members.

Best For

  • Outfitting a home bar or butler's pantry where wine, beer and sparkling water all need to be on hand and cold
  • Built-in installation under a kitchen island or bar counter during a remodel
  • Keeping service whites and rosés at pour temperature while storing canned beverages alongside them
  • Replacing two separate coolers with a single matched unit that locks and runs on a single footprint

Configuration

Placement requirements: 60-85F ambient temperature. If the ambient temperature is outside this range, the performance of the unit will be affected.

Size: 47 1/2w x 25d (with handle) 22 1/2d (without handle) x 34 1/4h (in)

Quiet Mode The wine cooler can be put into "quiet mode", which reduces the fan speed by 20-25% and reduces the amount of noise produced by the fans, by pressing and holding the light button (while the display panel is locked from not being touched for 15 seconds) for about 3-5 seconds. The C/F indicator will flash when the unit is in "quiet mode."

Features

  • Two independently controlled compartments: Each side has its own touch-key pad and blue LCD display, so you can hold whites or sparkling at 36–42°F on one side while keeping reds at serving temperature (55–68°F) on the other. The 36–68°F range covers everything from Champagne to a light Pinot Noir.
  • Rolling full-extension metal plate shelf (one per side): The shelf rolls out rather than slides, which means it clears wide-shouldered Bordeaux and Burgundy bottles without binding or tilting. This is the shelf that determines whether a wine cooler actually works for serious bottles — most beverage centers skip it entirely.
  • Front-ducted ventilation: Heat exhausts through the front grille, not the sides or rear, so the unit can be installed flush in a built-in under-counter cutout or used freestanding without modification. Bar height (34¼") fits standard 35" under-counter openings.
  • Dedicated 15-amp circuit required: At 284 lbs and 115V/60Hz draw, this is a permanent installation. Plan the circuit before ordering.
  • Stainless steel doors with fingerprint-proof coating, seamless corners and reversible hinges — hinge direction can be changed to suit your layout
  • Double-pane tinted tempered glass reduces UV exposure and thermal transfer without blocking visibility
  • Keyed door locks on each compartment
  • R600a (isobutane) refrigerant: Lower global warming potential than older refrigerants and more efficient at maintaining stable temperatures. Standard in European premium coolers; now common in higher-end U.S. units.
  • Fahrenheit/Celsius display toggle; UL/ETL listed

FAQs

Can the Loft 400 Double Beverage Center be installed under a counter, or does it require freestanding clearance?

A: It can be installed either way. The unit is front-ducted, which means all airflow moves through the front rather than the sides or back — making it fully compatible with under-the-counter built-in cabinetry as well as freestanding placement. No side or rear clearance is required for the cooling system to function properly.

Can each side be set to a different temperature, making this a true dual-zone unit?

A: Yes. Each of the two beverage centers has its own independent touch-key control pad and blue LCD display panel, so the left and right zones operate and can be set separately. The shared temperature range across both zones is 36°F to 68°F, which is wide enough to simultaneously hold whites or sparkling wines at serving temperature on one side and reds at a slightly warmer setting on the other.

Does the wine shelf actually fit Burgundy-style bottles, or only standard Bordeaux shapes?

A: Each side includes one rolling metal plate shelf with full extension — designed specifically to accommodate wine bottles of all shapes and sizes, including both Bordeaux and Burgundy formats. The rolling (not sliding) design allows full access without dragging bottles. Total wine capacity across both sides is 16 bottles, in addition to the 224-can capacity on the remaining shelves.

What are the electrical requirements and does it need a dedicated circuit?

A: The unit runs on 115V / 60Hz and requires a 15-amp dedicated circuit. This is a standard household voltage but the dedicated circuit requirement means it should not share a breaker with other appliances. Plan for a dedicated outlet if installing in a cabinet remodel or new bar build-out.

What does the warranty cover and for how long?

A: The Loft 400 Double Beverage Center carries a 1-year warranty on parts and labor and a separate 5-year warranty on the compressor. The extended compressor coverage is the more meaningful protection for long-term reliability, since compressor replacement is the most expensive repair on any refrigeration unit.

Are there ambient temperature restrictions for where this unit can be placed?

A: Yes. The unit requires an ambient (room) temperature between 60°F and 80°F to maintain consistent internal temperatures. Placement in an unheated garage, unconditioned basement or outdoor patio environment where temperatures regularly fall below or rise above that range will degrade cooling performance. A climate-controlled interior space — dining room, finished basement or kitchen — is the appropriate setting.
