AIRFLOW - INSIDE THE CELLAR
Our self-contained cooling units vent cold air as follows:
- 1800 Series: exhaust from the bottom, and intake through the the face, of the cooling unit
- 3200/4200VS Models: exhaust from and intake through the face of the cooling unit
- 6200/8200VS Models: exhaust from the face or the top, and intake through the face, of the cooling unit
Our self-contained cooling units vent hot air as follows:
- 1800 Series: exhausts hot air from either the top or from the rear of the cooling unit, and intakes fresh air from the rear of the cooling unit
- VS Series (all): exhausts hot air, and intakes fresh air, from the rear of the cooling unit
- Outside the cellar, the cooling unit MUST HAVE SUFFICIENT CLEARANCE so that its hot air exhaust can dissipate without intermingling with the fresh air intake. The cooling unit always must have access to fresh air (from OUTSIDE the cellar) ranging in temp from 40-95F
- Inside the cellar, the intake and exhaust must have sufficient clearance to allow the air to circulated (a rough guideline is 12" for each vent)
- Our power cord exits from the rear of the cooling unit. We offer a power cord modification if you need the cord to exit from the front/side of the cooling unit
- Our 1800 Series and 3200/4200VS cooling units require a dedicated 15-amp circuit
- Our 6200/8200VS cooling units require a dedicated 15-amp circuit
