REPLACEMENT UNIT TERMS & CONDITIONS

When using a CellarPro cooling unit to replace an existing cooling unit, we strongly recommend that you verify the following information before we ship your order. You are responsible for verifying that our unit will fit and vent the same as your existing unit :

SIZE
Please verify the size of your opening to make sure our unit will fit. The dimensions of each cooling unit can be found on our website.

AIRFLOW - INSIDE THE CELLAR
Our self-contained cooling units vent cold air as follows:

  • 1800 Series: exhaust from the bottom, and intake through the the face, of the cooling unit
  • 3200/4200VS Models: exhaust from and intake through the face of the cooling unit
  • 6200/8200VS Models: exhaust from the face or the top, and intake through the face, of the cooling unit

AIRFLOW - OUTSIDE THE CELLAR
Our self-contained cooling units vent hot air as follows:

  • 1800 Series: exhausts hot air from either the top or from the rear of the cooling unit, and intakes fresh air from the rear of the cooling unit
  • VS Series (all): exhausts hot air, and intakes fresh air, from the rear of the cooling unit

CLEARANCE

  • Outside the cellar, the cooling unit MUST HAVE SUFFICIENT CLEARANCE so that its hot air exhaust can dissipate without intermingling with the fresh air intake. The cooling unit always must have access to fresh air (from OUTSIDE the cellar)
  • Inside the cellar, the intake and exhaust must have sufficient clearance to allow the air to circulated (a rough guideline is 12" for each vent)

POWER

  • Please check the cord location for the unit that you're purchasing, because different units have different cord locations
  • All of our units require a dedicated circuit, and we recommend that a surge protector is used in all installations
  • GFCI circuits are not recommended for use with our units

GRILLS AND FILTERS

  • If you are replacing a cooling unit in a wine cabinet and an external grill was used to cover the rear of the cooling unit, you will need to ELIMINATE THE GRILL to ensure proper airflow
  • If you will be using a filter, it must be purchased from CellarPro, otherwise our warranty may be voided. Never use a pleated filter with CellarPro equipment.
