After use, the board should be cleaned with hot, mild soapy water. It should not be soaked in water, because this may cause the board to crack and warp. Periodically, the board should be oiled with a food-safe mineral oil to keep it from cracking. Make sure the board is completely clean and dry before oiling, and use a clean soft cloth or paper towel to apply. Let it soak in, then wipe off the excess.

Is the personalization included in the price, or is it an add-on?

A: The laser etching is included in the $60 price — no extra charge. You choose from 8 design layouts (Arrow, Plus, Circle, Rule, Box, Monogram, All Caps or Custom Logo) and submit your initials or text at checkout. Most designs accept 2 letters; the Monogram layout takes 3 and the Circle layout uses 1 center letter. Font choices are Classic or Deco, though the Deco font is not available for the Arrow or Plus designs.

How long does it take to receive a personalized board?

A: Processing time is 1–2 weeks before shipping. Plan accordingly if you’re buying this as a wedding, hostess or holiday gift — it is not a same-day or next-day item.

Can this board go in the dishwasher?

A: No. Clean it by hand with hot, mild soapy water immediately after use, and never soak it — prolonged water exposure can cause the wood to crack and warp. Periodically treat the surface with a food-safe mineral oil applied with a clean cloth, let it soak in, then wipe off the excess. This keeps the walnut from drying out and maintains the appearance of the grain over time.
