The wine opener works now

I ordered the Internal Drive mechanism for wine opener that is over 35 years old. The support team sent me a video for simple assembly because this thing was in pieces for at least a month. After assembly with the new bushings, dog, and cam the open opens wine like it used to. I would like the thank the support team for their assistance.

We had an old wine opener that we purchased at Costco probably 20-25 years ago. It recently broke so we ordered this part and it fit perfectly. Installation was easy and it works as good as new.
Hard to find Rogar parts at IWA
Rogar need parts? This is the place
by Brian -
I purchased an Estate wine opener about 15 years ago, which lasted about 12 years before the internal parts stopped working. I’ve tried other websites, but nobody had both the auger and the other internal parts which had broken. After ordering them, I was able to repair mine pretty easily. I will say that the schematic that is provided could be a little clearer on the exact placement of the parts. Also, it would be helpful if they included an appropriate lubricant, as the older ones need a fresh layer of that to keep them working smoothly. I used a simple petroleum grease and now it works silky smooth. Thank you Rogar for continuing to support these iconic and very useful wine openers.

Great Customer Service

I ordered and received the internal drive for my estate wine opener. I removed the cover on the opener and saw that the drive was broken in several pieces. I attempted to assemble the new drive but was unable to. I then called IWA and spoke to Sean who immediately sent me a video showing the assembly of the drive and I had it back together in 5 minutes! Thank you IWA and Sean!!

Perfect! Have spares for future if needed.
Ripped off for unneeded parts.

Several months ago I tried to purchase the "dog" to replace my broken one. I was told to try in a few months after new production.
Now the dog isn't available as a separate piece. Its bundled with other parts I didn't need at greatly inflated price. Forcing me to purchase un-needed and un-wanted parts to boost your profit is a dishonest business practice.

Works perfectly. Just like we got a new opener. Very happy with this purchase.
"Estate" Replacement arm & Drive will fit "Vintner" model with some sanding!!
by Bo -
I have a 30 year old "Vintner" Rogar Wine opener. It is "Solid Brass" much heavier construction than the "Estate" model Rogar opener.
The "Drive" and "Guide" slugs are plastic and after many years of use finally failed. The replacement Drive Slug comes as one piece (assembled) with the ARM but it is designed for the "Estate" model perfectly.
It will fit the older "Vintner" model version only after "Estate arm #30838" is sanded down (about 1/16 in) on the "narrow" side. Do not over tighten the assemble screws on the "Vintner model" You may need the Large Bush #30413 on the other side of the replacement arm but NOT the small Bush #30414.

the parts i ordered worked perfectly, even on my 20+ machine
Better Than Investing in a Cheap New One
I have had my Estate corkscrew for many years and it has opened many bottles of wine. Recently a part broke inside. I looked at replacement corkscrews but they all looked cheap and the reviews on them confirmed that. I was glad to find the replacement parts at IWA. I have them installed and I'm back to opening bottles. A printout of directions would have been helpful.

We were able to install the Drive Mechanism and get our Estate opener up and working again! Some pictures or instructions would have been helpful, but we managed okay. A little pricey, but we got what we needed. The Estate is so far superior to other corkscrews that this will soon be forgotten. Thank you.
The "dog" part turns out to be a real dog
This kit includes a small part called, "dog" it was previously listed as a separate item for about $12. Now it's bundled and cost $40, how does that make your customer feel, especially having asked for this part for at least 10 months.
