Care Instructions
After use, the board should be cleaned with hot, mild soapy water. It should not be soaked in water, because this may cause the board to crack and warp. Periodically, the board should be oiled with a food-safe mineral oil to keep it from cracking. Make sure the board is completely clean and dry before oiling, and use a clean soft cloth or paper towel to apply. Let it soak in, then wipe off the excess.

How does the personalization work, and what can I put on it?

A: Personalization is laser-etched directly into the maple wood using the Farmhouse font in uppercase letters. You can add two lines of text, up to 12 characters per line — common choices include a family name on the first line and a phrase like “PIZZERIA” or “PIZZA NIGHT” on the second. Names, dates and short phrases all work well. The etching is permanent and does not wash off.

Can this pizza peel actually go in a pizza oven, or is it only for serving?

A: It is designed for both. The 14-inch wide, 21-inch deep maple board is functional enough to slide a pizza in and out of a home pizza oven, and flat enough to serve directly at the table. Because it is wood, it should not be used inside a high-heat oven for extended periods — it is best suited for launching and retrieving, not prolonged exposure to oven temperatures.
