Limited Warranty

Coverage
For 5 years from the date of purchase, VinCase will, at our option, repair or replace the bag or any component that proves to be defective in materials or workmanship under normal use.

What’s not covered
This limited warranty does not cover cosmetic wear, normal wear and tear, or damage resulting from misuse, accidents, improper handling, improper packing, alterations, or unauthorized repairs. Damage caused by an airline or other third party is not covered by this limited warranty.

Airline Damage

The USDOT “Lost, Delayed or Damaged Baggage” guidance states that “although airlines are not required to cover fair wear and tear, airlines cannot exclude liability for damage to wheels, handles, straps, and other components of checked baggage.”

If your VinCase bag is damaged by an airline, report the damage as soon as possible at the airport and obtain a claim file number (often called a Property Irregularity Report or “PIR”). Steps to follow:

1. Report immediately at the airport: Go to the airline's baggage service office before leaving the airport to file a formal claim.
2. Get a claim file number (PIR or equivalent): Keep the claim number and any written report.
3. Document everything: Take photos of the damage and keep baggage tags and receipts.
4. Reference DOT guidance if necessary: If the airline says these parts are excluded, note that DOT guidance states airlines cannot exclude liability for damage to wheels, handles and straps beyond fair wear and tear.
5. Follow up promptly: Submit any required online form or email claim using your claim number and supporting photos.
