Loft 250 Double Wine Cooler 60 Bottle #34226
When a growing collection spans age-worthy reds and whites that need to stay properly chilled, keeping them in the same zone forces a compromise. The Loft 250 Double pairs two matching 30-bottle coolers side by side in a 30-inch cabinet, each with independent upper and lower temperature zones, giving you four separately controlled environments in a footprint that installs flush under a counter or runs freestanding. The rolling plate shelves handle Burgundy-format bottles as readily as standard Bordeaux, so the 60-bottle capacity is real-world usable rather than theoretical.
Best For
- Keeping chilled whites in the upper zone (41–54°F) while reds hold in the lower zone (46–66°F) simultaneously, without any tradeoff between the two
- Installing flush under a kitchen island, bar counter or dining room built-in where a single-wide cooler doesn't hold enough bottles
- Replacing two separate single-zone coolers without adding floor space or giving up independent temperature control per side
- Outfitting a second home or entertaining space where both red and white need to be at serving temperature before guests arrive
Placement requirements: 60-85F ambient temperature. If the ambient temperature is outside this range, the performance of the unit may be affected.
Size: 30w x 25d (with handle) 22 1/2d (without handle) x 34h (in)
Quiet Mode The wine cooler can be put into "quiet mode", which reduces the fan speed by 20-25% and reduces the amount of noise produced by the fans, by pressing and holding the light button (while the display panel is locked from not being touched for 15 seconds) for about 3-5 seconds. The C/F indicator will flash when the unit is in "quiet mode."

- Four independent temperature zones across two cabinets: Each of the two side-by-side coolers runs its own dual-zone system. The upper zone covers 41–54°F for whites and sparkling; the lower zone covers 46–66°F for reds. The upper zone must be set at least 4°F colder than the lower zone — plan your setpoints accordingly.
- Rolling metal plate shelves with full extension: Shelves roll out rather than slide, and the plate design accommodates wide-shouldered Burgundy bottles alongside standard Bordeaux formats — no separate shelf inserts required. Capacity is rated at 60 bottles based on Bordeaux sizing; larger formats will reduce that count.
- Front-ducted ventilation: Airflow exits at the front base, so the unit can be recessed into cabinetry under a counter or run freestanding without requiring rear or side clearance. Reversible door hinges give additional flexibility for how the unit fits into a space.
- Requires a dedicated 15-amp circuit (115V / 60Hz): This is not a plug-into-any-outlet appliance. If you’re planning a cabinetry installation or finishing a basement bar, confirm your electrical panel can support this before ordering.
- Double-pane tinted tempered glass with fingerprint-proof stainless steel: The tinting reduces UV exposure; double-pane construction provides thermal insulation at the door. The seamless-corner stainless frame resists fingerprints on a surface that gets handled daily.
- R600a refrigerant: A low global-warming-potential refrigerant with higher energy efficiency than older R134a systems. Compliant with CEC and DOE energy standards.
- 5-year compressor warranty (plus 1 year on parts and labor). The compressor is the component most likely to determine long-term reliability in a wine cooler.
- Priced $100 less than purchasing two individual Loft 250 units separately. Interior blue LCD display, security door lock with key and interior LED lighting included.

PLACEMENT REQUIREMENTS
- This appliance is designed for free standing installation or can be recessed into cabinetry.
- The wine cellar should be placed in a location where the ambient temperature is between 60-85°F. If the ambient temperature is outside this range, the performance of the unit may be affected.
- Place your wine cellar on a flat, solid floor that is strong enough to support it when it is fully loaded. To level your wine cellar, adjust the front leveling leg at the bottom of the wine cellar.
- When moving your wine cellar, please do not incline it more than 45 degrees.
- Locate the wine cellar away from direct sunlight and sources of heat (stove, heater, radiator, etc.). Direct sunlight may affect the acrylic coating and heat sources may increase electrical consumption.
- Avoid locating the unit in damp areas.
- Plug the wine cellar into a dedicated (for this appliance only), properly installed and grounded wall outlet. Do not under any circumstances cut or remove the third (grounding) prong from the power cord. Any questions concerning power and/or electrical grounding should be directed to a certified electrician or authorized product service center.
- Double units can share the same circuit.
- Total capacity of 332 Bordeaux-size bottles (166 per side)
- On each side, 88 bottles can be stored in the upper (colder) zone
- 1 rolling plate shelf with stacked capacity for 22 bottles
- 6 rolling plate shelves with capacity for up to 11 Bordeaux bottles per shelf
- Optional presentation shelves (sold separately), each with capacity for 20 bottles; each can be used to replace 2 rolling shelves (bottle capacity will decline by 13 bottles on each side)
- On each side, 78 bottles can be stored in the lower (warmer) zone
- 1 half-depth shelf at the bottom with stacked capacity for 12 bottles
- 6 rolling plate shelves with capacity for up to 11 Bordeaux bottles per shelf
Can the Loft 250 Double be installed as a built-in under a counter, or is it freestanding only?
A: It works as either. The unit is front-ducted, meaning all ventilation exits through the front grille rather than the sides or rear. That makes it fully compatible with under-counter built-in installation with cabinets on both sides and overhead, as well as standalone placement anywhere with standard clearance. Reversible door hinges give you flexibility on which direction each door swings.
What are the actual temperature ranges for each zone, and can I set them independently?
A: Yes, each zone is independently controlled. The upper zone runs from 41–54°F and is intended for whites and sparkling wines. The lower zone runs from 46–66°F and is intended for reds. One constraint to know: the upper zone must always be set at least 4°F colder than the lower zone. Temperatures are read on the blue LCD display panel mounted inside the cooler on each cabinet.
Will it actually hold 60 bottles, or is that number only realistic with standard Bordeaux bottles?
A: The 60-bottle capacity is based on Bordeaux-size bottles — up to 30 per side. Larger-format bottles like Burgundy, Champagne or Pinot Noir bottles will reduce that count because of their wider shoulders or heavier punt. The rolling metal plate shelves (full-extension, not sliding) are specifically designed to accommodate varied bottle shapes including Bordeaux and Burgundy, so they will fit — just at a lower total count than 60.
What are the electrical requirements, and does it need a dedicated circuit?
A: The Loft 250 Double runs on 115V / 60Hz and requires a dedicated 15-amp circuit. This is a hard requirement, not a recommendation — sharing a circuit with other appliances can cause tripped breakers or inconsistent cooling. If you’re planning a built-in installation during a remodel, confirm a dedicated outlet is in place before the unit arrives. The unit weighs 240 lbs, so positioning it after installation is difficult.
What does the warranty cover, and how long is it?
A: The Loft 250 Double carries a 1-year warranty on parts and labor and a 5-year warranty on the compressor. The extended compressor coverage is meaningful here because the unit uses R600a refrigerant — a modern, energy-efficient hydrocarbon refrigerant — and the compressor is the most expensive component to service on any wine cooler.
How does the Loft 250 Double compare to buying two separate Loft 250 single units?
A: The double unit saves $100 versus purchasing two individual Loft 250 coolers and gives you a unified footprint with a center-hinged double-door design at 30"W x 22.5"D x 34"H. Both sides share the same feature set — dual temperature zones, rolling plate shelves, fingerprint-proof stainless doors and LED lighting — so what you gain is a cleaner, furniture-style installation rather than two separate units sitting side by side with a visible gap and mismatched handles.

Thank you for your feedback. To achieve maximum quantity, Bordeaux-shaped bottles must be used, otherwise capacity will decline. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions!

A Good Product with One Caveat
Very good service. I was able to track the shipping progress of my unit on a consistent basis. The customer service folks were excellent and the product arrived on time. I was a bit disturbed that one of the shelves was not completely level. We tried to reinsert the shelf several times but it was clear that it was the permanent runner in the fridge. Other than that, it appears fairly solid. Maintains temps well and easy to use.
