Cork Cheese Knives Set of 2 #16588
Details
These cheese spreaders turn a saved wine cork into the handle, so the knives on your board can tell the story of a bottle you loved. Each one in this set of two has a screw-top fitting that accepts any standard wine cork, making the pair genuinely different every time you set them out. The zinc alloy blades are smooth and easy to wipe clean between cheeses.
As a gift, they land well precisely because they’re specific — they’re for the person who keeps a favorite bottle’s cork on the windowsill and would love a reason to do something with it. Corks are not included, which is exactly the point.
Best For
- Setting out a cheese board where the knives themselves spark a conversation about a memorable bottle
- Giving as a hostess gift, wedding favor or stocking stuffer for someone who drinks wine and entertains
- Pairing with a special bottle so the recipient can use that cork as the first handle
- Swapping out corks over time to keep the look of the board fresh without buying new tools
Features
- Customizable cork handles: Each spreader has a metal corkscrew spike at the top that threads directly into the base of any wine cork — flat-bottomed champagne corks and standard Bordeaux-style corks both work. Swap them out between gatherings to match the occasion or the bottle you just opened.
- Spreader-style blades, not cutting knives: The smooth, rounded zinc alloy blades are shaped for soft cheeses, pâté and butter — not slicing semi-firm wedges. Worth knowing before you buy if you need a full cheese knife set.
- Set of 2 spreaders included
- Corks are not included — you supply your own
- Overall length approximately 6½ inches with a cork attached
- Easy to clean by hand; the cork handle can be removed before washing
- Compact size makes them practical as stocking stuffers, wedding favors or hostess gifts alongside a bottle of wine

FAQs
How do the corks attach to these cheese knives?
A: Each knife has a metal screw spiral at the top of the handle (visible in the product photos). You simply thread your own wine cork onto the spiral to create a personalized handle. The cork is held securely in place by the screw thread — no adhesive or tools needed.
Are corks included with the set?
A: No, corks are not included. The idea is that you use your own saved wine corks to personalize the knives. Any standard wine bottle cork will fit onto the spiral.
What are these knives made of, and are they easy to clean?
A: The knives are made from zinc alloy — the same durable metal alloy used in many kitchen and bar tools. They are easy to clean; hand washing is the straightforward approach given the cork handle.
How large are these cheese knives?
A: Each knife measures 6½ inches wide by 1 inch deep by 1 inch tall and the full set weighs just 0.4 lbs, so they are compact enough for a cheese board without being flimsy.
Do these work as a hostess gift or favor if someone doesn't save corks?
A: They work well as a standalone gift for anyone who drinks wine — the knives function perfectly with a cork or without one. For gifting, pairing them with a couple of bottle corks (or a wine bottle) makes the concept immediately clear and turns a simple set into a more considered presentation.

I ordered several as gifts for our wine drinking friends. They are wonderful - heavy, solid and sharp enough to cut all kinds of cheese. A big hit!

Bought a couple of sets for Christmas gifts. They were a big hit. Good quality knives & love that you can change the corks if you want.

I ordered a set of your cork cheese knives. I received the knife blades, but not the cork handles.

Avis, we're very sorry for the confusion. Our product description states "Corks not included." The concept for the product was that you would use YOUR corks from special bottles to attach to the knives. Let us know if there's anything we can do for you, and/or if you'd like to return the knives for a full refund.
Mixed Quality Control in Packaging

I ordered 2 sets which arrived quickly. One set came fastened nicely in the small box with well-spaced tie-ons to keep the lovely knives in place. I’m looking forward to giving it as a gift. The second one came with one tied nicely in place; the second one was initially missing. I found it among the styrofoam peanuts and it’s fine, but it clearly was NEVER tied inside the twisty loops. Very strange. I’m going to use this set as a stocking stuffer and will just remove the other knife from the box. Just strange that it was packed that way from the company.
Very disappointed with my purchase.

I ordered 5 sets of these knives. They came in really bad broken down boxes. Several of the ends of the knives we’re very dirty and had rust spots on them. I spent over 2 hours cleaning them up with soft scrub. I did put champagne corks on the ends. They are really cute.

Thank you for your feedback. It sounds like you received the knives from our previous supplier, which we agree were packaged in a small, ugly brown box. We recently switched suppliers and now Epic sources the knives which come packaged in a pretty printed color box. We're glad you like the knives, and will send to you a set of the new knives at no charge.
