Laguiole Flatware Multicolor Jean Dubost #27115
When you want the table itself to set a mood, this 24-piece Laguiole set by Jean Dubost is worth bringing out. Hand-made in Thiers, France — the historic center of French cutlery — it comes in six distinct handle colors (purple, orange, red, fuchsia, green and yellow), so every guest at a dinner for six has their own. The light wood storage tray keeps all 24 pieces organized between uses and makes the whole set genuinely gift-ready straight out of the box.
Best For
- Setting a dinner table where each guest gets a different color handle without any extra effort on your part
- Gifting to a host who appreciates something French-made and thoughtfully presented over something generic
- A summer lunch or casual dinner where bright handles suit the table better than formal silver
- Households that entertain often enough to want a dedicated flatware set that holds up in the dishwasher and still looks considered on the table
- Two distinct steel grades: Knives use AISI 420 stainless steel, which is higher in carbon and holds a sharper cutting edge. Forks, spoons and teaspoons use AISI 430, which offers better corrosion resistance for pieces that contact acidic foods repeatedly.
- Six different handle colors per set: Each place setting gets a unique color (purple, orange, red, fuchsia, green and yellow), so guests can track their own cutlery across courses without pieces getting mixed up.
- Acrylic handles: More resistant to cracking, warping and fading than natural handle materials like bone or horn — and unlike those alternatives, these hold up in the dishwasher.
- Handle spine finished in polished stainless steel, providing the signature Laguiole bolster construction visible at each collar
- Wood storage tray included: Sized at 8 3/8" x 13" x 1 1/2", it holds all 24 pieces in divided compartments and works as a buffet presentation tray as well as everyday drawer storage.
- Includes a certificate of authenticity confirming production by Jean Dubost in Thiers, France
- Dishwasher safe

What exactly comes in this 24-piece Laguiole flatware set?
A: The set includes 6 knives, 6 forks, 6 dinner spoons and 6 teaspoons — enough to seat six guests with a full place setting each. Every piece arrives stored in an attractive wood tray (8⅜″ wide x 13″ deep x 1½″ tall) that keeps everything organized between uses and makes the set immediately gift-ready.
What colors are the handles and does each guest get a different color?
A: Yes — that is the point of this set. Handles come in six distinct colors: purple, orange, red, fuchsia, green and yellow, so each of your six guests gets their own color at the table. The acrylic handles are accented with a polished stainless steel spine and bolsters, keeping the look considered rather than casual.
Is this Laguiole flatware dishwasher safe?
A: Yes, the entire set is dishwasher safe. The acrylic handles are durable enough to hold up to regular machine washing without fading or warping, which makes this set practical for frequent entertaining, not just special occasions.
What steel is used in the knives and how sharp are they?
A: The knives are made from AISI 420 stainless steel with 1.5 mm blades — a high-carbon stainless grade well-suited for table knives that need to hold an edge through repeated use. Forks, spoons and teaspoons use AISI 430 stainless steel, a corrosion-resistant alloy standard for quality European flatware. All pieces are hand-made in France by Jean Dubost in Thiers, the historic center of French cutlery.
Is this set made in France, and what does that mean for authenticity?
A: This set is genuinely hand-made in Thiers, France by Jean Dubost, one of the established Laguiole cutlery houses operating in the region. Each piece carries the Laguiole bee emblem on the bolster — a detail visible in the product images — and the wood tray includes a certificate of authenticity. Not all flatware sold under the “Laguiole” name is made in France, so the origin here is a meaningful distinction.
Does this make a strong hostess or dinner party gift?
A: It does, particularly for someone who entertains at a table rather than buffet-style. The wood storage tray doubles as presentation packaging, the color-coded handles give the set a personality that plain silver flatware lacks, and the full 24-piece, six-person place setting means there is nothing the recipient needs to add. At 4.8 lbs total, the set has real weight and presence when handed over.

Love this silverware!
This silverware is fantastic. It is balanced to hold and the sizes are perfect. I especially love the small spoons for coffee or dessert. They are more expensive than other silverware, but for something used everyday well worth the cost. Also- the colors are so fun!

Whimsical flatware
We are thoroughly enjoying our new Laguiole Multicolor flatware. The various colors add a bit of whimsy to the table each night. The quality and craftsmanship of the pieces is fantastic, especially for the price. The knives are the sharpest standard flatware knives we have ever seen and they seem to be holding their edge wonderfully.
