Excellent Glasses
by Bill -
Beautiful glasses. I love the shape. I tested and compared them against my benchmark for mouth blown glasses, the Zalto Bordeaux, which has a substantially similar shape to this one, except the Italesse is slightly taller, its bowl sides are slightly convex, and its bowl bottom is flatter, which I really like. Weight and balance is substantially similar, if not identical, to the Zalto Bordeaux. My only nit (and overall it is a very small one) is that the cut on the rim is not as uniformly polished around the complete perimeter as the Zalto glass so there is a very slight roughness in those spots when you gently run your finger around the top of the rim; you have to be really picky to notice and even then it does not affect the enjoyment of this glass. And the price is around $10 or so cheaper than the Zalto, give or take. Well done.
Excellent wine glasses

I ordered 4 of these wonderful wine glasses for our home. My wife thought they were too delicate for everyday use, but she has been using them regularly and she loves them. They are the best wine glasses I've ever had.

Italesse Review

The glassware is gorgeous!
Amazing
by JD
We had some friends over last night, and since I have only 2 Italesse glasses, the boys got those, and the girls got the Riedel Vinum glasses (sorry!)
What I love most about these glasses - besides their clarity and thinness - is the shape of their bowls. I like to swirl before every sip, and because of the flat bottom and concave walls of these glasses, it's virtually impossible to drip when swirling. The concave shape of the bowl really concentrates the aroma of the wine.
I'm going to try the machine-made Italesse glasses, also available on IWA's site. They look similar and are more affordable, hopefully they're just as nice!
Oversized Wine Glaaaea with Inctedible Clarity
by JD
I also saw these glasses when I visited IWA's showroom in Petaluma. Originally I came to purchase Riedel Vinum Brunello glasses, but when I mentioned that the bowls were smaller than k expected, they pulled out the Italesse Red Wine glasses and the Bottega del Vino Nenetian glasses to compare. That's when we put the glasses side by side and wow, the difference in clarity was astounding! By far the Italesse glasses were the clearest and brightest and lightest of the three side by side. I'm going to have to get theses for our winery's tasting room.
The Best Lightweight Wine Glasses!
by Alex
I discovered these glasses when I was visiting IWA's showroom, and they are gorgeous. The glasses were displayed side by side Riedel Veritas and Zalto, and these glasses were the lightest and thinnest of the three brands. Also nicer shape IMHO. And 50% less expensive than Zalto! The showroom rep explained that IWA is importing these glasses directly from the manufacturer, which is why they're less expensive than Zalto (no middleman). I love these glasses!
