1800 CellarPro Power Cord Modification #1098
CellarPro Power Cord Modification 1800 (SKU #1098). CellarPro 1800 Series wine cooling units can be modified so that the 8-foot, 16-gauge grounded power cord exits from the left side of the cooling unit, just below the power outlet, instead of from the rear of the cooling unit. This modification is designed for cooling unit installations where the power outlet is located INSIDE the cellar.
Note: CellarPro VS Series cooling units are pre-configured to provide power either from the front or the rear of the cooling unit, at no additional charge, and do not require this modification.

Cord on the side
I had recently ordered a replacement unit for my 1800XT, and did not order this modification. My wine cabinet has an outlet in the wall, and the unit sits on a shelf at the back of the cabinet. The cord from the rear would not work. I called CellarPro and they had a technician standing by when I arrived at their location in Petaluma, CA. They said it would take 15-20 minutes and true to their word, I was back on the road and heading home with my modified cord on the side of the unit. That was the fastest turn around time I've ever had on the service of an appliance. These folks are great to work with, and I will buy from them again.

Works Great
Works perfect. We had an electrical outlet installed near the top shelf as we finished the basement and made our wine room. Keeps the cord tucked out of the way.
