Nice trivet kit
Bought this kit to make a trivet as a gift. I used bubbles corks ( yes, I drink lots of bubbles!) because I wasn't happy with the way regular wine corks fit. I had to cut a couple to fill in empty spots, but am quite happy with the end result. The color was OK for this gift, but I agree with others in that I'd like the option of a darker color.

I want to revoke my 4-star review because I was going off the picture and had not put my corks into the frame yet. It’s very well made and comes with everything, but the corks NEED to come up higher than the sides of the frame to work nicely as a trivet and they don’t. I have purchased nicely made frames at craft fairs for this purpose that were perfect. You can do better! And I would still like to see a darker wood color to choose from.

Perfect except for color.
This is a really well made trivet frame and comes with everything you need. It’s also the correct depth so the corks are slightly higher than the frame edges so your hot dishes touch the cork and not the wood. My only want would be a frame in a darker wood. Seems all I can ever find is oak or cherry, and they are usually already sealed so you can’t stain them. I’d love a nice rich brown color!

Crafty, practical, nice way to use up those corks!
We already made one trivet and love it SO MUCH, that we're making another one. And we have a million wine corks from the past 15 months, so . . . I'm making a trivet for gifts for everyone and I can say, "I made this myself."
