Red Candle Glass Chimney (P/N 42-182). This attractive red glass bottle chimney protects the candle flame from extinguishment, and gives a warm red glow to your room. It fits both pewter and ceramic Bottle Candle® designs as well.
Instructions:
Fill a wine bottle halfway with clean pebbles, then fill the remaining 2/3 of the bottle with lamp oil (sold separately or in a set). Do not fill to the top.
Insert the ceramic candle and wick (sold separately or in a set) into the bottle and let the wick soak in the lamp oil for 20-30 minutes before lighting the wick. Remember that the fire burns the lamp oil, not the wick - so the wick must be wet with lamp oil when lit.
For best results, wicks should not be exposed out of the top of the candle more than 1/16-inch to provide a nice flame.
Contaminated wicks will result in poor performance, so keep the wick away from water. Additionally, if you change fuels, first dry the wick and empty the bottle to ensure that the fuels are not mixed.
Place the glass chimney over the top of the bottle to add color and to protect the flame from wind.
