Shake container lightly, and test in an inconspicuous area before using.
Carpet: Absorb excess stain with dry paper towels. Saturate stain with Wine Away. Let sit for 1-5 minutes. Blot area until stain disappears. Clean with damp rag to remove residue.
Fabric: Saturate stain with Wine Away. Let sit for 1-5 minutes. Launder or dry clean according to manufacturer's instructions. Always check garment prior to drying. Additional applications may be needed.
If stain turns bluish color, treat stain with Wine Away and laundry pre-wash, then launder as directed. Wine Away effectively removes most red wine stains. However, some stains are simply not removable.

leaked when shipped

I have this product and have used it on clothes many times with great success! I decided to order one as a gift. Unfortunately, when I got it, it was leaking and destroyed the paper label. Needless to say, I could not give it as a gift. I kept it for myself and bought another one at a store to give as a gift. Works great. Lower review is for the leaky mess when shipped.
