SPLIT SYSTEM WARRANTY INFORMATION

Split cooling units are extremely advanced, and can be damaged or destroyed if installed improperly. Please make sure that the installer completes the installation checklist and returns the checklist to the manufacturer, who will review the data to make sure the cooling system is installed properly.

YOUR WARRANTY WILL NOT BE ACTIVATED UNTIL WE RECEIVE THE COMPLETED CHECKLIST AND APPROVE IT AND/OR ANY INSTALLATION ISSUES HAVE BEEN RESOLVED. If the unit malfunctions, we cannot assist you unless/until the completed checklist has been submitted. If the unit is damaged because of improper installation, repair services will be provided on a time and materials basis.

For the safety of your equipment and to activate the warranty, please return the checklist as soon as the cooling unit is installed. PLEASE NOTE
In CellarPro Split System installations, the most common causes of compressor failure are:

  • refrigerant overcharge,
  • adding liquid refrigerant through the suction access valve, and
  • cold compressor starts. To avoid a cold compressor start, make sure the compressor heater is wired to be energized even when the system is idle and make sure that the compressor heater is energized for 30 minutes before startup. It is critical to warm the bottom shell of the compressor above the ambient temperature for 30 minutes to drive excess refrigerant out of the compressor oil.
