Rogar Replacement Drive Slug #30416

I needed to repair my 33 year old estate wine opener and had no problem finding the necessary parts here. They were delivered on time and very reasonable priced as opposed to buying a new opener. The video was easy to follow, the opener has been repaired and is working like new.

I have a 40 year old Vintner brand wine opener, which looks just like a Rogar. Fortunately it uses the same internal parts, because Vintner isn't around anymore. My Vintner "slug" broke, which disabled the opener. To make a long story short, for a Vintner, if either your plastic "slug" or plastic "worm guide" breaks, replace both, because the new Rogar parts are designed to fit and work together. The "dog" part in between them is metal. Mine seemed good, but if I had to do the repair over I'd replace the "dog" too. Anyhow, for $40 in parts and postage I rescued a $250-$300 wine opener. Rogar parts people were very friendly and forthright, cautioning that they couldn't guarantee the parts would work on a non-Rogar opener, but they did. They also told me about a Rogar repair video on You Tube. Between it and a couple of others you can navigate the repair, which otherwise would be somewhat tricky.
