Riedel Sommeliers Vintage Port Value Set of 2 (P/N 2240/60).

From the Douro valley of Portugal comes Porto, the fortified dessert wine that deserves Riedel's finest glassware.
  • Vintage Port is characterized by its intense red color, which will shine through Sommeliers mouth-blown lead-free crystal.
  • The small glass stands 6 3/4 inches tall, and has a diameter of 2-3/4-inches at its widest point.
  • Maximum capacity is 8.8 oz., with an average serving size of just under 3 oz.
  • Pair with a Riedel decanter and use a funnel and screen to remove the characteristic sediment of Port wine.
Recommended for: Colheita, LBV (Late Bottled Vintage), Madeira, Marsala, Noilly Prat, Tawny Port, Vinsanto, Vintage Port

Why choose this glass over similar glasses?
  • One of the shortest glasses in the Sommeliers line, it concentrates the nose from the small pour of your dessert wine.
  • The rim is angled at 14 degrees to keep sweetness from overpowering the senses.
  • Robert Parker declares, "The effect of [Riedel Sommeliers] glasses is profound. I cannot emphasize enough what a difference they make."
This value set includes 2 glasses.
Riedel's premier collection, the Sommeliers line, is developed by experts to highlight each specific varietal of wine.
  • Praised by Robert Parker as the finest glasses for both technical and hedonistic purposes.
  • Mouth-blown with lead-free crystal
  • Value pack includes 2 stems

Port is undervalued

by

I'm a port drinker, especially ruby, and am slowly converting my friends, so I needed extra glasses. This was a good value, plus now they have no excuse to avoid trying it!
