Loft 1200 Double Wine Cooler 332 Bottle #19303
When a collection has grown well past what a single-zone cooler can handle, the Loft 1200 Double is the answer. Two full-size wine refrigerators joined side-by-side, each with its own independent dual-zone control, this unit holds up to 332 Bordeaux-size bottles across four temperature zones — upper zones dialed in for whites and sparkling between 41–54°F, lower zones set for reds from 54–66°F. The front-vented design means it works equally well recessed into a built-in installation or standing free in a basement, dining room or second-home wine room.
The stainless steel exterior has seamless corners and a fingerprint-proof coating that holds up in everyday use. Behind the double-pane tinted tempered glass, rolling metal plate shelves accommodate both standard Bordeaux and wider Burgundy bottles, with optional presentation shelves available if you want a display-forward look. Interior LED lighting, individual security locks and an electronic digital display round out what is a serious, long-term storage solution for a collector who reads specs and expects the unit to perform exactly as described.
Best For
- Housing a mixed cellar of reds and whites at separate serving temperatures without splitting across two rooms
- A dining room or basement remodel where the footprint needs to stay compact but capacity cannot be compromised
- Transitioning from a closet conversion or kitchen cooler that can no longer keep pace with a growing Bordeaux or Burgundy collection
- Built-in installations where a front-vented system and reversible hinges are required to fit the space
Placement requirements: 60-85F ambient temperature. If the ambient temperature is outside this range, the performance of the unit will be affected.
Size: 23 3/4w x 27d (without handle) 29 1/2d (with handle) x 69 3/4h (in)
Shelving: 28 pull-out shelves (26 rolling)
Quiet Mode The wine cooler can be put into "quiet mode", which reduces the fan speed by 20-25% and reduces the amount of noise produced by the fans, by pressing and holding the light button (while the display panel is locked from not being touched for 15 seconds) for about 3-5 seconds. The C/F indicator will flash when the unit is in "quiet mode."

- 4 independent temperature zones across 2 cabinets: Each cabinet runs its own upper zone (41–54°F for whites and sparkling) and lower zone (54–66°F for reds). Note that the upper zone in each cabinet must be set at least 4°F colder than the lower — plan your zone assignments before loading the unit.
- Shelf compatibility with Burgundy-format bottles: Each cabinet ships with 28 pull-out shelves (26 rolling metal plate shelves plus 2 fixed positions). Shelves are sized to accept wider Burgundy bottles, but loading them will reduce the stated 166-bottle Bordeaux capacity per side — relevant if your cellar skews heavily toward Burgundy or Rhône.
- Front-vented design supports true built-in installation: No rear or side clearance is required. The unit recesses fully into cabinetry or runs freestanding without modification.
- Two dedicated 15-amp circuits required: Each cabinet runs independently at 115V/60Hz and needs its own dedicated circuit — budget for two separate circuits during any remodel or rough-in.
- Reversible door hinges: Doors can be re-hung to open from either side, which matters in tight alcoves or when placing the unit against a wall on one side.
- 5-year compressor warranty, 1-year parts and labor: The extended compressor coverage is the most consequential long-term protection on a unit at this price point.
- Temperature display toggles between Fahrenheit and Celsius
- UL / ETL certified

PLACEMENT REQUIREMENTS
- This appliance is designed for free standing installation or can be recessed into cabinetry.
- The wine cellar should be placed in a location where the ambient temperature is between 60-85°F. If the ambient temperature is outside this range, the performance of the unit may be affected.
- Place your wine cellar on a flat, solid floor that is strong enough to support it when it is fully loaded. To level your wine cellar, adjust the front leveling leg at the bottom of the wine cellar.
- When moving your wine cellar, please do not incline it more than 45 degrees.
- Locate the wine cellar away from direct sunlight and sources of heat (stove, heater, radiator, etc.). Direct sunlight may affect the acrylic coating and heat sources may increase electrical consumption.
- Avoid locating the unit in damp areas.
- Plug the wine cellar into a dedicated (for this appliance only), properly installed and grounded wall outlet. Do not under any circumstances cut or remove the third (grounding) prong from the power cord. Any questions concerning power and/or electrical grounding should be directed to a certified electrician or authorized product service center.
- Double units can share the same circuit.
- Total capacity of 332 Bordeaux-size bottles (166 per side)
- On each side, 88 bottles can be stored in the upper (colder) zone
- 1 rolling plate shelf with stacked capacity for 22 bottles
- 6 rolling plate shelves with capacity for up to 11 Bordeaux bottles per shelf
- Optional presentation shelves (sold separately), each with capacity for 20 bottles; each can be used to replace 2 rolling shelves (bottle capacity will decline by 13 bottles on each side)
- On each side, 78 bottles can be stored in the lower (warmer) zone
- 1 half-depth shelf at the bottom with stacked capacity for 12 bottles
- 6 rolling plate shelves with capacity for up to 11 Bordeaux bottles per shelf
What are the actual temperature ranges in each zone, and can whites and reds be stored simultaneously?
A: Yes — each of the two coolers in this double unit operates with two independent temperature zones. The upper zone runs from 41–54°F and is designed for white and sparkling wines. The lower zone runs from 54–66°F for red wines. The one constraint to know: the upper zone must be set at least 4°F colder than the lower zone within each cooler. Across the full double unit, you have 4 separately controlled zones, so you can run whites, sparkling, aging reds and serving reds all at different temperatures at once.
The capacity says 332 bottles — does that hold for Burgundy and Rhône bottles, or just Bordeaux?
A: The 332-bottle figure is based on standard Bordeaux-format bottles. The shelves are designed to accommodate the wider Burgundy profile, but fitting Burgundy, Rhône or Champagne bottles will reduce the total count. How much depends on how you mix formats, but plan on noticeably fewer than 332 if your cellar skews toward Burgundy or Pinot Noir. The rolling metal plate shelves do give you flexibility in shelf spacing, which helps when working with a mixed collection.
Can this unit be installed flush as a built-in, or does it have to stand free?
A: It is designed for both freestanding and built-in installations. The unit is front-vented, so it does not require rear or side clearance for airflow — it can be recessed into cabinetry or placed under a counter. Keep in mind the handle adds 2.5” to the listed 27” depth, so plan for at least 29.5” of depth clearance if the door is in the open path. Hinges are reversible on both doors.
What electrical circuit does the Loft 1200 Double require?
A: Each unit runs on 115V / 60Hz and requires a dedicated 15-amp circuit. Because this is a double unit — two separate coolers side by side — you will need two dedicated 15-amp circuits, one per cooler. This is a common oversight during installation planning; confirm your electrical rough-in accounts for both before delivery.
What does the warranty actually cover, and for how long?
A: The Loft 1200 Double carries a 1-year warranty covering parts and labor, plus a 5-year warranty on the compressor. The compressor coverage is the most meaningful number for long-term reliability — compressor replacement is the highest-cost repair on any wine cooler, and five years of coverage on that component is a meaningful protection on a unit of this size and price.
What ambient temperature range does this unit need to operate correctly?
A: The cooler is rated to perform within an ambient room temperature of 60–80°F. Environments outside that range — an unheated garage in winter, for example, or a room that climbs above 80°F in summer — can affect cooling performance and temperature accuracy. For basement or utility room installations, verify the space stays within that band year-round before positioning the unit there permanently.
