Gabriel Glas Set of 2 #17182
Aromas unfold as the wine expresses itself in this unique lead-free crystal glass thanks to the conical shape and bouquet-driven design. Restaurants, tasting rooms and oenophiles love this durable glass that brilliantly and simply showcases the finest qualities of all wines.
From the Robb Report (February 2015): "For the last 20 years, one mark of a serious wine connoisseur has been a cabinet spilling over with specific glasses for every varietal. But lately a backlash against this tyranny of stemware has taken hold, and a number of fine-glass makers have responded with "universal" designs meant to enhance every sort of wine. One of the best is the Gabriel-Glas. Made in Slovakia from a design by the wine critic Rene Gabriel, its broad bowl increases the surface-to-air ratio, essentially decanting the wine in the glass, while its graceful curve channels aromas to the nose and gently delivers wine to the tongue. Gabriel-Glas fans include influential Sommeliers such as Mark Bright of Saison and Luke Kenning of Farallon, and after testing the glasses with wines from Barolo to Riesling, we too found ourselves reaching for this delicate vessel over the many others crowding the shelf."

My favorite Glasses
by Steph -
These truly are a universal glass. I use them for everything - red / white / sparkling / cider - and they are really great at expressing the aromas of whatever you're drinking. I also love that they are dishwasher safe, despite being very thin lipped and stemmed. They shape is elegant and the glasses are light, but they're more durable than you'd think so I don't get nervous using them with guests. I'll definitely buy these again!

These glasses are an absolute delight. We used them at a winery in Northern California, and were so impressed with the glasses that we asked our server to give us the information for them so we could buy them. We received them this week and couldn't be happier. The stems are uniquely thin and the glass quality is just next-level. You won't regret buying these glasses.
Very nice glasses. Good for either red or white wines.

These were highly recommended, and they are indeed great all-around glasses. They shipped very quickly and were packed well in their boxes. I will save the box they came in as a means of storage and transport in the future. Since these are the only ones I purchased, I cannot speak to the difference between machine and hand made glasses.

These are beautiful glasses. They arrived safely, on time and were packed well. Really do make a difference in the aroma and flavor of the wine. Very happy with our purchase!
I could not be happier with this purchase. Easy to order, quick delivery, solid packaging, and best of all the glasses are just what I wanted - elegant look with long stem and firm base. It is obvious that these are going to hold up over time where my "store" brand glassware did not.
These glasses look great in the catalog, but they are even better close up. They arrived very nicely packaged. We are so impressed. The glasses are beautiful and light weight. They really do make a difference for any wine you are pouring. You won't be disappointed.
