Trivet Kit - Fun Project

I have been collecting wine corks for quite awhile and was looking for ways to use them. I found the Cork Trivet Kit on the IWA website and purchased it. The quality of the materials is excellent as is the instructions provided to complete the trivet. I was able to create my trivet the day after I received the kit. Looks great and it is now on display.

Troubling Trivet

This is my 3rd order of the cork trivet kit. It makes a fun gift/reminder of good times & good wine. I ordered 2 kits this time. The wood frame is very nice. However, this time one of the frames fell apart as I opened the box. Not broken just failed quality control & not glued together. Not bothering to return it, I just glued it back together but someone should have checked the frame & saved me the trouble.

Fun project!

This was so much fun putting together, just like a puzzle. I mixed red and white wine corks with champagne corks cut in half.
