  • Praised by Robert Parker as the finest glasses for both technical and hedonistic purposes
  • Mouth-blown lead-free crystal
  • Single stem

Riedel Sommeliers Martini Glass (P/N 4400/17). "Martinis are the only American invention as perfect as a sonnet," said H. L. Mencken. The Riedel Company has come up with an invention just as perfect, for serving the perfect martini.

  • Stylish stem gently tapers upward to meet the base of the bowl, forming a striking elongated triangle.
  • Color is one of the more enjoyable aspects of any cocktail, and Riedel's mouth-blown, lead-free crystal will bring out the full spectrum.
  • Height ranges from 7 1/8 to 7 1/4 inches tall
  • Bowl ranges from 3 3/4 to 4 inches wide
  • Maximum capacity of 7 oz. and an average serving size of around 2 1/2 oz.

Recommended for: Martinis, Cosmopolitans, and all of your other favorite cocktails

Why choose this glass over similar products?

  • Strikes a happy medium between the shallow glass that doesn't quite hold enough and the oversized glass that unwittingly leads to overindulgence.
  • Martini glass aficionados consider this glass a point of pride in their collections.
  • Thinner rim than the average cocktail glass, making every sip a pleasure.

Each glass in the Riedel Sommeliers line is sold individually.

How does the quality of Riedel's new lead-free crystal compare to its 24% lead crystal glass?
Riedel recently began the process of converting all of its glassware from lead to lead-free glass crystal, and eventually all of Riedel's glassware will be lead-free. We compared lead vs the lead-free (Sommelier Bordeaux Grand Cru glasses side by side, and found it difficult to distinguish between the glasses. It seemed like the lead-free glasses had thinner stems and rims, while the 24% lead glasses seemed slightly heaver in the hand. There was no discernable difference in the balance, clarity or construction of the glasses.

Specs Have Changed

Very disappointed. Ordered as a replacement. Manufacturer specs must have changed. Spec comparison( old vs new): height the same, rim width: 4.125 vs 3.875, capacity oz.: 7.5 vs 5.5.
I realize these are hand blown glasses which can cause slight variation. This difference is not variation.

Riedel Martini Glasses

I have used Reidel sommelier glasses for more than 25 years. I enjoy handling these fine pieces of art while drinking my favorite libations. Wouldn’t think to use anything else.

These martini glasses add to the enjoyment of tasting a fine, dry martini.

Ultimate Martini Glass

These are wonderful - light - beautiful shape - also a great size. They compliment any cocktail from the matrini to journalist to perfect manhattan. They are also somewhat difficult to find. I believe that they were out of production for a period. I was excited to find them on the IWA site. Ordering and shipping was easy and fast. And tracking was clear. They arrived in packed in environmental friendly popped filling that dissolved easily in the sink.
If you want the perfect martini glass look no further. They are expensive but worth it.
