Awesome wine cooler!

by Shannon - verified purchaser
This product arrived quickly with free delivery from a special they were running. well packaged and perfect when I removed it from the shipping carton. The only "assembly" required was the door handle which was simple. I installed, leveled and waited for it to cool. It arrived at its set temperatures in a very short time. I have not yet loaded it with wine as I just moved and am still unpacking if anything changes after that I will update my review. It is very quiet even when it is running and definitely quieter than other coolers I have previously owned. So far I am very happy with this product and would recommend.

Great Wine Cooler

by Tom
The cooler was delivered in great condition, very well packaged. I've had it working now for two weeks. I really like the sliding wood shelves. Some of the bottles fit snugly but I expected that. It's definitely better quality and features than I could find at the big box stores. It runs louder (fan noise) than expected based on some other reviews. The temperature swings are plus or minus 2 degrees from their settings.

Awful...hasn't worked properly since it was delivered

by Greg
The wine cooler started out making the wine colder than the setting. Less than six months later, it stopped cooling completely.

Pleased thus far

by Richard - verified purchaser
I purchased this wine refrigerator about two weeks ago and it arrived quickly. Set up and install was easy. Appears to be good quality. I followed the instructions and had it working in no time. The next morning I came out to the kitchen and there was a fair amount of vibration from the unit. I looked at the instructions, releveled the unit and it quieted down. All is good now and it is full of wine. Very pleased with my purchase.

Two Inches More In Height And Width And It's A Ten Star Wine Cooler

by Burgndy Lover
I waited a month before deciding to write a Review. I'm a French Burgundy lover and collector and had a 5,000 bottle capacity wine cellar 23 years ago and eleven years ago a wine room that had a 1,500 bottle capacity. In eleven years I went through two VinoTemp WhisperKool 4200 units (not a good cooling unit in my experience), as they each failed after four to four and a half years. We down-sized and sold most of our collection and maintain about forty to sixty bottles now that we're older and don't buy wines to put them away for ten plus years as we used to do. The experience of building a wine cellar and smaller wine room educates you as to what is really needed to effectively maintain a wine collection. The Loft 48 is pricey in comparison to all the other comparable bottle capacity units, but the others (I have a number of friends with less expensive units) are not effective and if you value your wines, the differential is minor, especially if your wines go bad due to wide temperature swings and very noisy units.

The Loft unit is a superior product for its size, bottle capacity and money. There's really no comparative product on the market in my opinion. I wish I had a Loft compressor in both my wine cellar and wine room as it's a Rolls Royce level for wine lovers and collectors. It's incredibly quiet and maintains the temperature set within two degrees, which is stellar. I can't believe its efficiency.

The only reason I gave it four stars is the bottle capacity if one collects larger sized-type Burgundy bottles. The salesman's estimate of what I could store when I told him what I collected ten bottle more. I can only get thirty-five bottles into the unit and very tightly at that. If the unit was two to three inches taller and wider, even if more expensive, it would effectively store what it professes to store. If you collect typical Cabs and non-French wines, you'd be foolish to consider any other wine cooler on the market for the professed bottle capacity. In retrospect, I should have bought a larger size wine cooler with the Loft-type cooling unit, but the $$ and physical size of the unit made me uncomfortable, especially since there wasn't a larger bottle capacity unit than 48 bottles but less than 100+ bottles.

If you value your wines and don't want them to spoil due to temperature fluctuations and noisy/unstable units as the others are, you'd be foolish to buy anything else.

Enjoy your wines and be wise and make sure they don't go "bad."

Great Under Counter Celler

by wine south
Built-in under counter in new kitchen remodel. Looks great with new stainless steel appliances. Runs much quieter than old unit (another brand) it replaced. Bottles (mostly California cabs, zins, and merlots) fit well in shelves. High quality at low price. Very satisfied.
